Welcome to Giants of the Southwest. My name is Stan Bland, founder of petrified giants and titans. This platform is about the discovery and documentation of Giant and Titan sized Mud Fossil’s in my very own backyard, Kingman, AZ and the Black Mountains.
Growing up in Kingman, AZ, ever since I was a kid, have always wondered how the local landscape was formed. I know our southwest region is in direct relation to the Grand Canyon of the United States. The big question is what carved out the Grand Canyon and how long ago did it occur? The discovery of human titan sized mud-fossils links present day to the not so long ago past and events that took their lives on a global scale.
It seems all around the world many of our cliffs, canyons, low level mountains, and landscapes are the fossilized remains of enormous humans, creatures and dragons that once heavily populated and inhabited the continents. What was once biology is now geology. Mud fossils is not a well-known science, however, with the advent of social media platforms and the sharing of information, Mud-fossils will soon share the same common scientific space with anatomy, sociology and geology.

How I discovered the Petrified Giants and Titans of the Southwest?
The late 70’s and all through the 1980’s Kingman, AZ is where I grew up. By the age of 21 my best friend while home on recruiting assistance talked me into enlisting into the United States Marine Corps. For the next eight years 1990-1998 I lived, ate and drank a professional military lifestyle, loving every moment of it.
Year 2000 I was married with children living in Barstow, CA, by this time, I was an experienced Journeyman Electrician in the Utilities Field. For the next twenty-five years I worked in Power Plants, Substations and Switchyards all over Central California and the Bay Area.
In 2022 I needed change and decided to retire from the California rat race and the electrical trade, re-settling back into the very same town I grew up in, Kingman, AZ. Growing up here I hunted, hiked and camped all over the desert, the hills, canyons and mountains. Dangerous but fun we also explored abandoned mining dumps and especially mine shafts.
All my life subtly I have always known there is a lot more here than what meets the eye. Since 2022 I have been studying and troubleshooting what exactly happened that formed the Grand Canyon, the Southwest, especially the Kingman Area landscape and Black Mountains. I never believed in the idea that the Grand Canyon was formed by 70-Million years of erosion that is taught in public schools and mainstream science.
By December 2023 long-term thinking, biblical knowledge, basic investigative and troubleshooting skills finally brings me to some very strong postulations of cataclysmic events that formed the Grand Canyon and the Southwest less than four thousand five hundred years ago.
The evening of January 13th, 2025 while in the foothills of the Black mountains I was catching the low sunset as it cuts through the jaggedness of it all casting long and beautiful shadows onto the desert floor. Enjoying nature and the peaceful moment, low and behold about four hundred yards south I see my first petrified giant also staring into the sunset. She was part of a much bigger structure poking out of the foothills. Taking a moment to study her I realized she experienced the last minutes of her sojourn here, her name is Burchka, a young lady of child-bearing age standing about fifty feet to sixty feet tall.
Going back to the structure where the lady is, I discovered there is more than a dozen petrified giants and animals both large and small. Finding out on my own accord The Giants and Titans are the hills, canyons and mountains of the Southwest and they all tell a story. Those souls are long gone, but what is left is their impressions cast in stone called Mud Fossils.

The Arc Flash.
Triple Whammy Catastrophe:
Reading the Bible, I remember the story of the Great Flood, found in Genesis 6-9, describes God destroying the world with a flood due to humanity’s wickedness. In Genesis 1-6, the Bible describes the firmament as a structure that separates the waters above from the waters below. Solid Dome Interpretation: Many interpret the Firmament as a solid, dome like structure separating the earth from heavenly waters above. Could it be the Firmament was at one time small ice crystals suspended in one of the layers of the upper atmosphere giving the appearance of an interior of a translucent dome encompassing planet Earth? Was there an event that caused the firmament crash? The Great Flood, as describes in the Bible, is estimated to have occurred approximately 4,359 years ago.
"Worlds in Collision" and "Earth in Upheaval" by Immanuel Velikovsky, published in 1950, present a controversial interpretation of planetary dynamics. Velikovsky theorizes that Venus originated as a detached body from Jupiter, entering the solar system as a relatively new member of the planetary family. According to his hypothesis, Venus needed to secure its own orbital pathway, which involved interacting with Earth's atmosphere. This interaction allegedly caused disruptions, resulting in Earth being pushed toward Mars. Velikovsky's theories have sparked significant debate within the scientific community, highlighting the complexities of celestial mechanics and the historical narratives of planetary formation.
As a former High Voltage Electrician looking at the Grand Canyon and Mars Chasm, I recognize the contact between Earth and Mars is actually an Electrical Arc Flash. Definition: “An arc flash is a sudden, explosive release of electrical energy when a high-voltage fault or short circuit occurs, creating intense heat, light, and a blast of force. It's a major safety hazard for electrical workers and can cause severe burns, blindness, hearing loss, and even death.”
Summary:
Jupiter birthed Venus, which required a circuit to thrive. As Venus approached, it grazed the Earth's atmosphere, resulting in a rain of blood and afterbirth. This event generated intense heat, sufficient to melt mountains and boil the oceans, while simultaneously causing the Firmament to crash.
Once Venus settled into its orbit, the Earth was thrust closer to Mars, leading to an Arc Flash that dramatically transformed the landscape by carving out the Grand Canyon. The high level energetic effect extended several hundred miles, affecting all life in the vicinity (present day Southwest).
Following this violent upheaval, the Earth experienced a disturbance that caused ocean waters to surge deep into the land. This influx carried silicate mud inland, ultimately burying everything and everyone in its path.
Petrification
Picked up from a wash in the Black Mountains, approximately ten inches long is a sample of petrified bone and flesh.
“Petrification (petros means stone) occurs when the organic matter is completely replaced by minerals and the fossil is turned to stone. This generally occurs by filling the pores of the tissue, and inter and intra cellular spaces with minerals, then dissolving the organic matter and replacing it with minerals.”
Decay
Mudfossils are not impervious to the forces of nature. It is my opinion, the main cause of decay and break down of any type of rock formation is the result the consistent expansion and contraction caused by daily and seasonal temperature changes of heat and cold.
